What is Yacht Management?

Yacht Management to us means treating your yacht like it belongs to us. We familiarize ourselves with all of your equipment and systems in order to develop a Yacht Management Plan that includes an annual maintenance schedule and a list of components that should be regularly excercised. The Plan also includes periodic wash-downs, waxes and varnishing as necessary. This keeps your yacht “ship shape” and ready for you, your family and guests to use whenever the mood strikes you.

Increasing your own enjoyment isn’t the only benefit to maintaining your yacht to the highest standards. Regular maintenance can have a dramatic effect on long term costs. And, a well- maintained yacht retains more of its value – an important factor when it comes time to sell and buy that larger yacht!

Typical Yacht Management Service List

Every Yacht Management Plan is customized to the specific yacht and may even change over time as we become familiar with the “personality” of your yacht or as we learn about particular issues with equipment. In many ways, it is a mini survey of your yacht that we perform periodically to insure proper operation of all equipment. In general the list includes the following:
  • Regular exterior cleaning
  • Periodic detail work
  • Inspect all engine/generator fluid levels
  • Inspect raw water strainers
  • Inspect operation of engine/generator alarm systems
